Customer video review of Speak Up! Button Multipacks

We had buttons before. They were too large and taking up way more space. Bowser loved watching the buttons get upgraded.

My dog, Jet, starting learning to communicate with buttons as a puppy, but her lack of attention span made it take 10 months before she really started using them regularly. She uses one to three buttons in series to convey her wants. Lately, I added buttons and she started using them spontaneously! She is very liberal with “please” whenever she wants something, e.g., “food please”, “outside please”, “scritches please”. We’re having a lot of fun, and her behavior is very manageable now that we communicate better.

Once the lightbulb turned on, and Ralphie knew he could “speak” using buttons, he was off and running.

My cat Sammy has been using the buttons for a few years now. I upgraded to the louder buttons. I’m working on adding more words for her. I love knowing what she wants.

I have two blue heelers. I introduced buttons to my puppy when she was 4 months old. She took to pressing "outside" within a day and "play" soon after. She acquires new words too quickly and were almost to 40 (she's 8 months old today). It's exciting to communicate with her, but I have to order new buttons so often! Haha My older girl is 9. She did take a couple months to start pressing buttons. She mostly just watched how I would model for the puppy. I did target train her in the beginning, but she just did not want to push them. The first time she did, she asked for a walk and got to go immediately. She's been a talker ever since! I find it amazing that I've hardly had to "teach" them how to use these. I do have a background in behavior, as I was a Registered Behavior Technician for children with developmental delays for many years. So many that just made this more like second nature to me? Overall we're all very happy to be able to understand each other more clearly! I really hope the cat starts to show interest. So far, he walks right over the boards and avoids every button possible.

Treasure loved her buttons as a puppy! We started around 6 months old, and she learned super fast. She is 2 years old now and really only uses her buttons to say “want”, “outside,” or “oma” (grandma) on her own. Walks are her favorite but she doesn’t initiate asking for them, she just prefers to only use the buttons on the outside of the sideboard now. She answers questions though, she will hit “toy” or “play” if I ask her if that’s what she wants. I am hoping the louder buttons help her become more confident with distinguishing the buttons on the board on her own when she wants to initiate using them to communicate.

Store owner replied: Hi Ally. It sounds like for the most part, Treasure has the Buttons figured out. If you feel that she has more to say but only chooses to use the Buttons on the outside of the soundboard, maybe you can find some help in our Learning Center: https://fluent.pet/blogs/learning-center/planning-your-soundboard. Stoney loves nutritional yeast, so her first word was nooch! Here she is making her first press. Even disabled 3-legged cats in a cone can use buttons.

Store owner replied: Hi Jay. Thank you for letting us know how well Stoney is doing with her Buttons. She appears to be one incredible cat! 😻

My dog loves using his buttons. Some are single words and others are short phrases. He also combines up to three words to make a thought. One phrase he always uses wrong is “Ouch, that hurts”. He only hears me say that when he starts pawing my arm. I’m sure he thinks it means “Pay attention to me”. He often presses “Ice, please”. Who could ignore such manners?

I got the Speak up buttonsas an upgrade from Todd's standard buttons. I love them, they are so much easier to heR from across the room. With Todd's original buttons it took less than a day for him to start using them, but I had been working with him Preparing him for about 6 months prior to purchasing them. Todd is a quick learner and loves his buttons and being able to communicate his wants and needs to me.

Store owner replied: Hi Greg. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review and letting us know how Todd is doing with his buttons. It is great to hear how much quality time you spent together as you prepared to use them. It sounds like your patience has paid off!

These Up buttons are SO much easier to hear when Digby presses them! We know what he wants and can respond accordingly without him sitting and staring at us when we don’t move. Thank You for these, now we’ll be adding more to his tiles! Yay!!

Speak Up Button Multi-Packs

Store owner replied: Hi Rachel and Digby. We are so happy to hear that you are enjoying the Speak Up buttons. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are an innovative company and we couldn't have known to design the Speak Up without input from great customers such as yourselves.

The buttons produce a clear sound when I press them myself. When my cat presses them, though, the output is just a muffled noise, likely because she doesn’t lift her paw and triggers the button repeatedly.

Chance is our third goldendoodle. Cash and Penny were older when I got the buttons but they did learn to push the treat button if I brought the treat to the buttons. They just didn't want to learn a second language as adults lol. Chance has been utterly fascinated with the buttons since he was a puppy. He is now a year and a half. He regularly pushes buttons with his nose. He will push "treat" repeatedly if he is not getting it fast enough. He regularly uses "outside", "potty", "play" "beach" "swim" and "ball" (we live on a pond). He has combined "treat" with "ball" to describe a ball we have which holds treats. He tests new buttons out such as "breakfast" and "dinner". He will be playing, stop, seem to think and walk across the room to push a button. It has never been a false alarm when he pushes the "potty" button. I plan to slowly add new buttons, I am trying to figure out what words. The new buttons are louder than the old which is very helpful.

We're still practising with our Ragdolls, but we have had our first accidental pushes on the buttons in days. They like to train and play with them. We're on it for a couple of weeks now, they're not using it intentional yet.

Have 2 cats and 2 dogs. Work in progress, but definite interest and responsive to use.

Speak Up! Button Multipacks

These were better than the ones we bought earlier. Our dog is a bit rough using the buttons so new ones are much more durable and sturdy.

Speak Up! Button Multipacks

Already had buttons. These were add-ons for more words. Both dogs took to the original buttons quickly. After getting the new puppy, the older one slowed down and then basically quit the buttons while the new one constantly uses them to point that Daddy sometimes takes her "phone" away. Lately, the older one is back to using buttons and more appropriately than little one.

I love that our four year old Lagotto can by tell us what she wants and how she feels

Speak Up! Button Multipacks

Toujours très contente des produits fluent pet, mes animaux et moi on adore!

Speak Up! Button Multipacks

The buttons have opened a whole new world to our dog and ourselves- our relationship has definitely deepened and our understanding of one another has helped us be more empathetic, compassionate, loving, responsive, and proactive. Finding a way to know how to help hi, meet his needs, and most of all—love him has been truly a gift. The buttons are a blessing indeed!

Speak Up! Button Multipacks

We tried speak up after already having some connect buttons. It was immediately clear that she found speak up buttons easier to understand. The sound comes directly from the button, rather than a separate speaker, and there isn't the slight time lag you get with the speak up system. The disadvantage, of course, is that I don't get notifications and records of her presses. For us, this isn't important, as she is almost never alone. I always know what she pressing and can take the appropriate action. Recommended

Speak Up! Button Multipacks

My cat started pressing buttons with his nose after just a couple of weeks! He is so happy to go outside on demand. The buttons were easy to set up and the audio is very clear. I will be purchasing more in the future!

Speak Up! Button Multipacks

Love these! My dog and I are having so much fun learning to use them!

My 10 month old Great Dane took longer than I hoped to learn the first button, but I expect that has more to do with our learning curve than the buttons. Now he totally gets it and is noticeably excited to be able to communicate or to lean a new button. 10/10 will buy again as we expand his vocab

Speak Up Button Multipacks

I submitted a very detailed response when I first ordered buttons. This order was for additional buttons that I was adding on to the tiles. Please see my original response. Thank you.

Speak Up Button Multipacks

We were using words with him already so when we incorporated the buttons it was quick. His first was scratches as he likes his back scratched in the morning. It was like a light bulb over his head went on when he correlated the button with the action.

Speak Up Button Multipacks

I cannot describe how well i was treated by the customer service. It has been a pleasure. My cat is already used to communicating through buttons as he used big cheap muffled buttons before. With Speak Up buttons he no longer has a frustration of buttons not always activating when being pushed. The Speak Up buttons are loud and clear. More over, they are small and do not take much space. The cat is also happier as now he can express himself more and demand to be served exactly what he wants. I cannot be more happy with the purchase and I will keep on investing in FluentPet in the future as it helps to keep my cat happy.

My son and daughter in-law dog. She trained well and uses it everyday. My son is big in keeping the dog mind sharp.

It took our orange tuxedo tabby 6 days to press her first button. She's very excited to use the buttons and is starting to understand what action each button goes with. Very easy to set up, use, and maintain.
