As Bijou's handler, I can honestly say that FluentPet buttons have been one of the best investments I've made for her. Watching her go from learning her first word to building a vocabulary she uses every day has been incredible. Bijou is a working service dog, and while her buttons aren't part of her trained service tasks, they have given us an entirely new way to communicate at home. She uses them to ask for what she wants, and she'll often "talk" about something we've already done, almost like she's telling me about her day. Each new word she learns gives me another glimpse into her personality and the way she thinks. The buttons are sturdy, easy for her to press with confidence, and have held up well to daily use. We use the FluentPet Connect buttons, so I can easily record and update the words in my own voice as Bijou learns new vocabulary. The FluentPet learning resources have also been helpful, providing practical guidance for introducing new words at a pace that keeps learning fun and successful. One of the greatest gifts these buttons have given us is a stronger bond. Being able to better understand what Bijou is trying to communicate has made our relationship even more meaningful, and it's been amazing to watch her confidence grow as her vocabulary expands. If you're willing to be patient, stay consistent, and celebrate the small victories, FluentPet buttons can become an amazing communication tool for both you and your dog. I highly recommend them.

I like the vibrancy of the blue tile as it provides a nice contrast for cat vision. The tiles are very tempting for my cat to chew and scratch though and I have had to shoo him away from the board when he does that. The edge pieces have helped but not eradicated the problem.

I am expanding the buttons and mats that I have for my two cats and they are really starting to catch on! This package from Fluent Pet came more quickly than expected. I have been very happy with my latest buttons and mat purchase!

it took 3 months for the first press, but Evelyn has been using her buttons regularly ever since. We love having these buttons!

Having had animals my whole life, I've always been tuned into them, but there are always times when you wish you could understand each other better. We had three cats and two dogs, and during the years we went down to 1 cat and two dogs. Our new kitten Biscuits is super smart, even as a baby. He learned how to sit from the dogs, and eventually taught our next dog how to sit. He's always been a grabby guy, so after testing him with a bell and treats, I was really set on getting words for him. He took to his first set of 6 super quickly, "Mom" being his favorite word to hit, even now. We moved him to 12 words, and that worked for a year or so, until we noticed he was trying to do multiple word sentences with a limited vocabulary. He now has 40 words! In the beginning we would speak to him with limited sentences, knowing I wanted to get him buttons. So when he got his first set, he was already good with what 'love you' meant, or who his family was. The next set added some actions like yes and no, and the dreaded dinner time. With his new set he has more feelings, body parts, (ouch was in an earlier set) and sounds. He likes to tell me that I'm too loud sometimes, or that he loves me, or that he's mad that he can't have his snuggle time. Some of the conversations we've had seem like they could be coincidence, but since he does it so often, we're pretty sure he mostly knows what he's doing. Like when the dog came home from the vet and I told her that we missed her. "Biscuits missed you too." 'No.' hahahahaha Here's one of my favorite interactions, and it wouldn't have happened without the FluentPet system. Thanks guys!****** I'm trying to kick a cold, and I'm in the bathroom horking out my lungs. Biscuits "Ow!" *walks to me* Me: Yea, Biscuits. Mom ow. I'll be ok. We both walk off and I hear this. Biscuits "mom ow!" *runs over to love on me*

Although my dog is far from big, I find the standard hextiles don't give enough room between buttons, so I need more of them. I'm experimenting with the larger size to see if I can add more buttons per tile and save space, whilst giving Dolly more leeway whilst pressing. I haven't really got going yet, so the experiment is ongoing

My puppy is now 6 months old and she has already 9 words in use (with more to come next week, as our next order arrives!). Our heart melt every time she asks for ”kisses” (=scritches) 🥹 She’s the cutest!

I love the Hextiles, they are the perfect size, my cat does try to use them as a scratcher sometimes (the ones that don't have buttons yet), but they are sturdy enough to withstand that.

My only regret is ordering 3 sets instead of 4, so I have an odd number of each colour, would have needed an even number.

Cricket is an expressive dog. We use a combination of buttons, body language, hand choice and my words. I needed more tiles to expand eventually.

Store owner replied: Hi Elizabeth. Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It is important to not ignore his other means of expressing himself - so glad the FluentPet Buttons are a part of how you and Cricket communicate 😍
My one year old kitty loves the buttons! When not using them he often lays on them. Now that he can ask for what he wants he rarely darts past us out the door or knocks over plants. He knows he can ask to go outside and to play all kinds of fun activities. He is expanding his vocabulary and is curious to try out new buttons. My 3 year old cat rarely uses them but when she does I can tell it's intentional because she pushes the buttons for her favorite things like "eat".

Store owner replied: Hi Lucy. Thank you for sharing how your Learners are doing. Both sound like they are expressing exactly what they want and that's fantastic! 😻
His 1st involuntary press was ‘Go Potty’ stepping on it by the door. His 1st deliberate press was ‘Water’ when he notified us his bowl as empty. I say ‘All Done’ and press the button when he sits to have his collar taken off when coming inside: one day - during a zoom call -l just opened the back door to his play pen and let him in, and went back to my call with out taking off his collar. He sat there looking up at me, then pressed “Go Potty” “All Done”. I apologized and took off his collar. He did an exasperated snort/sneeze and walked away.

I added the grayscale colors to the blue-green-yellow tiles to keep them to colors the cats can differentiate easily. My kitten clearly understands what the buttons mean now and we just added a 7th button which he is already using. My only complaint about these tiles is that they had a very strong chemical smell that caused the cats and me to avoid them for a couple days after opening the box.
Lucy R. 4/5 Verified
Store owner replied: Hi Lucy. Thank you for your review and the video. Your kitten is adorable and clearly understood what pushing that "Outside" button meant 😻 The odor you are smelling is a result of how the foam is produced. Normally, the harmless smell (but I can understand how it might not be pleasant) disappears quickly, especially if put outside for a couple of days to air out.
Really happy with the upgrade from the patterned hextiles. I feel that the high contrast colors will make it easier for our cats to distinguish word categories and hopefully help with understanding the board layout.

LOVE being able to chat with Cashmere!! He actually has 48 words now and sometimes makes 3 to 4 word sentences (play fetch outside now)!! I wish these same hextiles were still available so we could continue to expand his vocabulary using the same format! Any chance they’ll come back?
Cynthia 5/5
Store owner replied: Hi Cynthia. 48 words and 4 words sentences... that's fantastic! We will not be bringing back the pattern HexTiles, but you can expand his board with the new solid HexTiles by using the same location for each category group of words. Please do reach out to our Customer Support Team if you need further assistance.
After 3 months, Archer now uses about 15 words consistently, plus a few more occasionally. So proud of his progress! He has big paws so the larger hextiles are a bit easier for him to navigate without accidentally pushing two buttons at once.

Trial and error here sometimes they just push all to get a treat but they are getting better. Treats are not given all the time now and they will push the right button for the desired reaction from Mom. The other day I was upset that the little girl did not push the potty button and proceeded to go inside. When we got back inside I signed/spoke sorry Mommy was mad, she walked over to a button and pushed "I love you". Melted my heart. We have only been doing this for 3 weeks now and working on it every day. They will tell me they are good and play out side or play (training lessons) inside but the potty one is hard for her. We tried the button by the door but it did not work so now it is with the other 6 buttons. We will get there like Bunny some day.

My dog Tilly is communicating about 5-10 times per day with her 4 buttons. I have them spaced apart on the hexagons which make it easy for her to select the one she wants. It has been great for her to let us know her wants and needs in multiple ways. She is a Border Collie and I plan to add a few more words this year!!

My 5 months old Dutch smousdog is a quick learner. Within minutes she understood the first button which says 'treat'. Introducing the next button 'outside' took a bit longer. The third button says 'play', treat and play are her favourites.

My dog is big so i feel like bigger tile options would be beneficial since hes struggling with accuracy. He'll try to press a certain button and he ends up pressing a different one because the tiles are small.
Lilith S. 3/5 Verified
Store owner replied: Hi Lilith. If your dog is having difficulty with mumbling (hitting two Buttons at once), you can try spreading the Buttons out to every second hole. Then in the meantime practice paw target training. Another option is to mount the soundboard on the wall or a board so he can use his nose. If you need further assistance never hesitate to email info@fluent.pet for Customer Support.
Bella Grace pressed her first button on day one and hasn’t looked back! I have enjoyed attending online offerings such as Boot Camp and Mentor meetings and there is always something fun and/or educational to see in the community section. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!

My dog is incredibly smart, and she would often get frustrated with us when we didn't understand what she wanted. It was always a guessing game, going down the list: treat, water, outside, etc. She knows tons of words but could only respond to us saying them. Since we've been using fluentpet, she is able to communicate with us - and we finally understand exactly what she wants and when she wants it! We know it's time to add more buttons when she goes to her tiles and tosses her head back while giving a little grunt. We've discovered that's her way of telling us, "None of these tiles can help me tell you what I want!" This has been such great fun - and so very practical!
