animals we love
We’re on a mission to realize the potential of the animals we live with
When it comes to other minds, we’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s possible. Our tools are designed to enrich the lives of animals we know well, such as dogs and cats, while strengthening the bond they have with us humans.
We were inspired in the fall of 2019 by speech language pathologist Christina Hunger, who showed the world that tools for communicating with non-verbal children can also work to help us communicate with dogs.
Learn what’s possible
Join us as we discover, together, just how much animals (whom we call ‘learners’) can do and figure out what’s going on in their heads!
Communicate and connect with your learner through customizable record-and-play buttons.
Three principles express our mission
Animals have complex inner lives.
Curiosity, fear, excitement, and boredom are not restricted to humans. Animals feel many of the same emotions that we do, and deserve to lead full, happy lives.
Together, we can achieve rich communication with animals.
While animals may never speak as we do, tools can enable us to better understand what each other is thinking and feeling.
By understanding animals we better understand ourselves.
There are far more similarities than differences between us and our animal cousins. Each time we realize something about what a dog or other animal can do we’re reminded that we’ve only scratched the surface of what they're capable of.
Find the latest tips, tricks, tools, and insights like guides on how to get started, which words to introduce first, and how to set your learner up for success.
Connect with the FluentPet community to discover what animals can do. Watch fun pet videos, discuss surprising behaviors, and join us as we try and figure out what’s going on in the heads of dogs, cats, and other animals.
