We’ve started with the treat button and he knows that the button will lead to treats so he strokes it but can’t put enough pressure on it to activate the button. We’ve tried to add a chair pad on top to add a bit of weight to make it easier but he doesn’t like that. Not too sure what else to do

2 cats: one indifferent to food motivation, the other very good motivated. Tutorial videos accessed with purchase are very helpful. After approx 3-4 weeks I am getting inconsistent results with the 'treat button' with food motivated cat. Some days I think it has clicked and she gets it, then we seem to back slide and she doesn't quite understand the gist. She is very excited about the button area and the times I have routinely done some training. No spontaneous presses yet, but yes some days good success in pressing the treat button. I think I have to pay more money for the next round of tutorial videos and check with the community for similar situations and trouble shooting.

My cat, Goatman, is absolutely in love with his buttons!! Before adding buttons, I had already taught him to respond yes and no by tapping my left or right hand. This seemed to help a lot and he took to the buttons right away!! Now he wakes me up every morning saying something new!

The buttons are easy to set up, & easy to record. My newly adopted 1- year old kitty was tapping the button for a treat on her second day of training! It took her another day or two to actually activate the buttons. She’s had them five days and already uses the first three buttons for Treat, Play, & Pets. I’m so proud of her!

I actually bought this set with a cat named Strange in mind. Kreatur watched the training sessions for a couple of days, then pushed his way in and took over. He now knows what "school" (training time) is, and saying "get in your spot" prompts him to sit in front of his buttons. He has learned the buttons for "chick-chicks" (treats), "love you," "Kreatur" (himself), "Momma" (me), and "Dad" (my husband). The entire process has blown my mind. He requests treats for the other cats by pressing the button while staring at the other cats. If I make him answer questions before treats, he presses the "Dad" button while giving me a side-eye. When I hold up a new button and tell him "new school word" he becomes visibly excited. My favorite moment so far has to be the introduction of the "love you" button. The reason is that when I give any affection to my cats, I have always accompanied pets, scratches, and snuggles with saying "Love you-love you!" I recorded the button with me saying "love you" once. Kreatur hits the button twice every time he uses it.

My cat is so engaged with these buttons. She uses them daily and they've really helped with reducing frustration led behaviour (like biting, chewing cords etc). She's just started combining words for new meanings and it's amazing to watch the process. This is our third purchase from Fluentpet. I had some issues with this order, but I was able to get support from the help team. The community element is a real highlight and not something I've seen offered with other button brands. I've attended various of the live classes/discussions and there are always great insights. Initially, I was worried about her chewing/scratching the hextiles but since we've added them with this order, we've had no issues. Probably because the buttons already had a lot of value to her. She loves lying on/next to the tiles.

Great quality, looks fantastic, easy to use, lots of clear instructions and helpful hints, I can hear it from the other room. All my concerns have been met. Highly recommend. We are loving our daily 5mins training, especially as the recommended first word for us was “treat”. Thank you!!

Customer video review of Get Started Kit Bold

We got us a new boxer puppy & one of my coworkers suggested I get him the buttons because of how smart he already was at 8 weeks (we share the Bunny videos we find to each other all the time) so I said why not try it, if not then oh well. Well our new puppy took to them very well. I was surprised. The video I shared with this is actually of him going from the kitchen to the living room to tell his older brother “no” because he went to his own and got his carrot toy and when he brought it in the kitchen his older brother took it from him and he went to tell him “no”. You can see towards the end his brother with the carrot. He will also tell his brother “no” when he misses the pee pad and get it in the floor. He lets us know when he is hungry and thirsty. We added the love you button recently and he presses it now too. The only one he rarely presses is the potty button to go outside lol but he has done so well I decided to just get the whole other system with the app. We can’t wait to get it and move these buttons into the bedroom or kitchen.

My little guy has really taken to the fluent pet buttons. I'm already looking forward to getting more and expanding his vocabulary. Id not seen dogs as tiny as him using them, so I was worried he might not manage. But so far, so great 😃👍

My 1-year old bernedoodle, Lucy, & I are very excited to be starting our FluentPet journey. Lucy is very expressive and communicative in her body language, so we’re hoping this helps her better express what she wants when the underlying message behind the intense stares is not as clear. She certainly knows words and concepts and is now starting to pay a little more attention to buttons. With time, modeling, and patience we hope that button pressing is next!

The kit arrives with plenty of set up info, but I found it easy to figure out how to fit the buttons into the hextiles & how to record the audio. After a couple tries, I got the recording to sound how I liked it, and we were off to training. Holly is in her first 3 weeks with the button board. She has pressed the "treat" button 6 times so far, over the course of the 4 most recent training times. She's fond of the buttons & shows responsiveness to the meaning of each (treat, pets, and play). She seems to be well on track for learning to use buttons. So far, she presses while we're training; I think it'll be a little while before she presses a button to ask for something on her own.

Customer video review of Key Vocab Kit Bold

These are so freaking cool and did not go how I thought it would at all… (there is a review after the context I realized how long that is) Context / what names mean: (you can skip this part if you want) We = my family Me/I’m/I = I am the one who is writing this and who bought the buttons and I train the dogs. I’m 13+ Dogs⬇️ Tora is 4.5 years old and she is a purebred Norwegian elkhound (AKA very smart and stubborn) Bought her from a good breeder. Pongo is 3 years old and his is a mutt and is mix of 53% Chihuahua,16% Boston Terrier, 7% Dachshund, 6% Japanese Chin and 4% Brittany (AKA he is not smart, is very energetic and has the Chihuahua attitude) He is a rescue. The words I started with⬇️ (Bought the buttons 2 weeks ago from writing this) Outside. Play. Treats. eat. Soon. Pets. Later. water. All done. No. Yes. Recently added (like a few days ago) Tora. Back to the actual review:⬇️ So I bought these attended for Tora but she has not used them at all and when she has she scratches the buttons out of the mat (working on her being more gentle with them) but Pongo is the one that has been using them and really likes them, we never thought he would ever use the buttons because he is dumb and he has never been really vocal unlike Tora who is very vocal. I started with 11 buttons and recently added one more (as seen in the context section). he has learned all the words on the soundboard in 2 weeks, except I think he’s confused about soon, later and all done since he’s been pressing those randomly. He has said a few sentences (at least I think) he has said “Tora treats” so they both got treats, a few minutes before that he kept pressing treats and only he got treats so I think he saw how Tora was getting upset that she wasn’t getting treats too… so he pressed the buttons for her (It was so cute). And another time he said “Tora play” and started to play with Tora. Pongo was rough with the buttons at first but now he is more gentle, but a few times he has scratched at the button and it has not activated. I can’t wait for what the future holds. hopefully he will have more buttons in a few months and we are planning on buying more buttons in a few weeks. How I found this brand was through Instagram/Facebook but the accounts were Elsie wants and flounder the cat. how I “trained” them to use the buttons. I have not used any of the free camp stuff mainly because I forgot about it, but I did not have the soundboard connected until like a week ago. I had all the buttons where the things were at and pressed them before doing that thing Tips⬇️ If you do not like your voice on the buttons, you can choose a voice from CapCut (I use “serious female”). I do not recommend using markers on the stickers the words will start coming off. I recommend using a label maker if you have one. Highly recommend this brand. will be switching to the connect buttons eventually

I’ve been working with my learner (Omen, cat, 4) for just over a month now! She’s picked up on using the buttons fairly quickly and now frequently requests “play” and “treat.” She’s just begun using two buttons together to request her new favorite game! I’ll have to work on giving her more words soon….

We are loving them!!!! I have four cats and Mia was chosen as the main learner because she showed interest right away after the first week she was laying on the buttons and now she’s making independent presses after I attended a modeling class. We started on 2/21/26 so we are very new and I am soo excited to see how much more she wants to learn and if my other gremlins will like to join her.

I started with a word they knew, Duck Jerky. After a few minutes my standard poodles were using it. I thought, oh lord what have I done. But after 2 days they calmed down. My girls aren't into it but my male LOVES it! He is almost up to 40 buttons. We are working on body parts now. (He has pain at times and my hope is to identify where he has pain. He has a rare autoimmune condition, seizures for the last year & back problems.) My favorite sentence he said was 4 buttons, BENTLEY WANT GO DOG-PARK. He tells me he's HUNGRY after finishing his breakfast. I pushed these buttons BENTLEY BREAKFAST ALL-DONE. As I walked away, he said, DINNER! He has told me to SETTLE multiple times and was right to do so. I was a language development major in grad school so this just thrills me. Bentley has been a problem child (rescued at just turned 3 yrs old with biting issues) so this helps him reduce his frustrations. When we were going to have new people come over for dinner, I pushed FRIEND COMING the whole day. When they arrived, I had his muzzle on but he was SO EXCITED to see them as if they were his long lost BFFs! So many other stories. It has been truely a Blessing!

My cat is over the moon with the buttons and will not stop pressing them! Had to install an “all done” button which she used promptly to ask me to stop talking when yakking on the phone. The dog is very interested and intrigued and wants to participate. The other cats are interested too. I had to buy more buttons after a week. The first cat to use them laid beside them for days like they were gold! Super cute.

Much to our surprise, our 2.5 year old Cane Corso Odin was appropriately selecting the buttons within about 3 hours of introducing them to him. He was a little annoyed when we took his bells off the front door, but he quickly adapted. He uses his nose to “bink” objects and has done so since he was a puppy, so he binks the buttons. The first day we programmed 4 buttons on 2 pads and he took to them right away. We placed the pads near what the buttons were in relation to i.e. eating/drinking or going out to take care of business. We have been amazed how consistently correctly the selects the “pee” or “poop” button. We’re going on 3 weeks now and have added another button which he is using correctly. We chose FluentPet because we know Odin is smart and we wanted to communicate with him. He would ring the bells on the door for everything and we had a hard time discerning what he wanted. With FluentPet we now know!! We are a much happier household now, thank you!!!!

My 6 month old cavapoo isn’t much of an eater, so I used “treat”, “pets” and “toy” as his first buttons. Two weeks of rewarding him for touching, then pressing the treat button and now he presses treat without any direction. Three days later, he asking for a toy. I just tell him, “use your words” and he goes to the tile and presses the button.

Santa Paws brought Adam his first set of buttons for Christmas. He pressed his first button (treats) within the first day. He now has seven buttons, six of which he uses very consistently. We are absolutely thrilled with his progress! I have noticed that he seems a lot happier (He is an only cat) now that he can clearly express his wants and needs to us.😊😊😊 We are so glad that we decided to give this a try!

My dog, Onacōna, would ring a bell for every thing she wanted (go outside, help with a stuck ball, wanting to go to bed, treats, etc.) so I thought the speech buttons would be perfect for her. I had to add the button “all done” so she wouldn’t continually press the ”treat” button. She now uses 4 other buttons. It takes work, being consistent and lots of love, but she will get it. Onacōna is still learning and so am I. I love these buttons. Thank you!!

I've been following pets on instagram that use buttons for almost 4 years now. I knew I had to try this when I got a puppy. I got my pup about 2 months ago, 16 weeks old now and he has 8 buttons already. So I had to buy more buttons a week after I got this order. He loves it and I love it. Using the Fluent Pet program has been lots of fun…especially strategizing our starting words and placement of buttons. I love that you have so much info available to inform our journey. Even though Jeffy our cat likes to nap on the foam pads, he also has used the action, “outside” a few times to be taken outside within only a couple days of our modeling the buttons. “Outside” is highly motivating for him as an indoor cat! Our dog Pepper is a more timid learner so he’s taking a bit more time to warm up to the buttons we started with, but I’m confident that he’ll catch on once we find the perfect motivational word to introduce. We’ll add his favorite - “car” next. Thanks, FluentPet!!

Our kitty has been fascinated from the first moment!! She puts her paw next to the buttons and sniffs them and even had her paw on top of it but has not yet pressed it. She loves sitting next to the layout as one of our “together-time” activities, and gives me frequent “kissy eyes” as I reinforce each button and encourage her.

So I’m going to be perfectly honest. Our dog Samira is a super smart dog to begin with so we knew she was going to take to this system perfectly. She just turned 2 and we’ve been training her with special words fords certain things so after recording them on the buttons she naturally picked it up. We bought the 6 button starter kit and we’ve been working on 3 buttons right now. 1-Poop, 2-peedles, 3- Hungries and she knows them all and we’ve had it less than a month. Definitely worth the money if you put the time and effort in but it’s not going to happen if you don’t. Very happy with this purchase. The buttons are super easy to record and operate and we absolutely love that they push into the pad tiles that go together like puzzle pieces. Very good quality and super fast shipping and our 6 button starter kit was $75.00 which I feel is more than a fair price and this companies willingness to help and make sure your satisfied is 5-star!
